Salty Shai was born out of a lifelong passion for fashion. Ever since I was a child, no older than four, I found myself drawn to the art of clothing design. I would cut, stitch, and glue fabrics together, turning them into something uniquely my own. Inspired by the iconic fashion of the 90s and the supermodels who defined that era, I dreamed of one day designing clothes for women—creating pieces that would inspire confidence, strength, and individuality.

As I grew older, I pursued this dream by enrolling in a fashion and design gymnasium. However, due to the challenges I faced with dyslexia, I was only able to attend the hands-on, creative parts of the classes. Ultimately, my journey in formal education came to an early end. But fashion remained my first love, and I wasn’t ready to give up.

Life then took me on a different path. I worked in boutiques, gaining experience in the world of retail, while another passion emerged—travel. Exploring different cultures, chasing sunsets on sandy beaches, and listening to the rhythmic crash of waves became a source of inspiration and peace for me. The ocean, with its vastness and endless horizons, reminded me of the boundless possibilities in life.

In my hardest moments, it was the incredible women around me who lifted me up. These women, much like the delicate butterfly, have symbolized transformation and hope. Their strength and grace have continuously inspired me to persevere, and it is in their honor that I create each piece at Salty Shai.

Salty Shai is not just a fashion label—it’s a reflection of my journey, a blend of my passion for design and my love of the sea. It’s for the dreamers, the travelers, the women who rise again, stronger every time. My goal is to create clothing that embodies this spirit—pieces that make women feel beautiful, empowered, and ready to face whatever life throws at them.
